Volvo released no fuel economy of performance figures for the new diesel engine but they said that the introduction of this powerplant is part of their mission to improve fuel efficiency.

“From now on the DRIVe symbol will not be used for denominating specific car models since we extend Drive-E to embrace all Volvo Car Corporation’s sustainability efforts,” says Volvo.

Along with the new engine, the Swedish company released details on the 2013MY improvements for the models in the range.
